Becky’s Kids Turns to Community
For Support of First Major Project
“Back-To-School Shopping Trip Planned for Izard County Foster Children”
IZARD COUNTY, ARK., June 21, 2011, – Becky’s Kids is kicking off its first official project benefiting Izard County Foster Children. A Back to School Bash is set for July 2011 and will help foster children by providing haircuts, a new backpack with school supplies and all of the kids are going to go on a one-day shopping trip to purchase new clothes and shoes for the upcoming school years. One group of kids is going to the Old Navy in Conway on July 26th and a second group is traveling to the Old Navy in Jonesboro on July 28th. Becky’s Kids is in need of individuals interested in being a child’s personal fun shopping partner for a day and the nonprofit is in need of monetary donations to be used to purchase the clothing and supplies.
Jessica Eldred, the founder of Becky’s Kids stated, “Every time a foster child connects with Becky’s Kids, we want them to feel special and know they are loved. With the shopping trip, we didn’t want to just go buy the clothes and deliver them to the shelters and homes, but we wanted the kids to be able to go and pick out their own clothes and have a personal shopping buddy hanging out with them to mix and match and just enjoy the day!”
